Preach­ing and worship lead­er­ship

Proclaims God’s Word with clarity, eloquence, and power, with Christ-centered love, not by human wisdom, but by the power of the Holy Spirit


  • Teaches the truths of Scripture and encourages complete conformity to those truths
  • Speaks to those who have not yet found faith, that through God’s grace, they may be converted
  • Expounds the meaning of Scripture as historically understood by the Reformed faith and incorporated in the doctrine of the PCA


Leads in development of worship themes and services in conjunction with the Lead Musician


Administers the Sacraments according to the Book of Church Order

Vision and stra­te­gic plan­ning

Works in conjunction with the Session to develop a vision and a strategy for the church based on Scripture and God’s leading


Champions the vision and strategy to the congregation


Works with the Session ensuring that annual goals are established, implemented and evaluated


Commits to fulfilling the Great Commission

Min­is­try and

lead­er­ship de­vel­op­ment

Equips and encourages God’s people to become lay leaders within His church


Provides pastoral oversight for the Session and Diaconate as spiritual leaders of the congregation


Provides pastoral oversight of children and youth ministries


Serves as moderator of the Session


Leads the congregation to engage the community with the Gospel


Mentors and encourages the spiritual and professional development of pastoral staff


Represents Redeemer Presbyterian Church at the Presbytery

Con­gre­ga­tion­al care and spir­i­tu­al de­vel­op­ment

Empowers elders to shepherd their assigned flocks


Works in conjunction with the Session to empower deacons to provide for the needs of both members and visitors


Provides individual attention to congregants as necessary and ensures proper care, including but not limited to hospital visits and spiritual counseling


Encourages the congregation to serve the body and the community through ministry teams and small groups


Promotes gospel-centered teaching in spiritual formation classes and small groups


Calls the congregation to financially support the Lord’s work in accordance with Redeemer’s vision


Ad­min­is­tra­tion and man­age­ment

Manages the administrative functions of the church


Works, in conjunction with the Session, to oversee, delegate, and direct the work of each staff member


Works with the Session to ensure sound financial stewardship


Creates goal ownership and a sense of shared purpose

Character and conduct

Leads a disciplined life of daily fellowship with God and in Bible study


Evidences biblical character in personal life, family relationships, and ministry


Takes steps to grow both spiritually and professionally


Has a genuine heart for shepherding the Body


Remains free from addictions

Working schedule


Hours   Tuesday — Friday (any four weekdays, flexible); working hours (e.g., sermon preparation, shepherding, visitation) 9am–5pm per day; Sunday Worship Services; additional meetings and evenings as needed or scheduled


Vacation   Four weeks


Holidays   New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas


Sunday attendance and preaching expectation   The Pastor is expected to be the primary preacher on Sundays, and to attend services (when not on vacation) when the assistant pastor or a guest is preaching.
