Nathan is a born-and-raised Houstonian. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Houston and both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. Over the past decade, Nathan has served in various ministry capacities, including as an RUF intern at the University of Nebraska and as a pastoral intern under Dr. Kevin DeYoung at Christ Covenant Church. Beginning June 2026, Nathan is thrilled to join Redeemer Sugar Land as the Youth Director. Upon ordination, he will be installed as Assistant Pastor of Youth and Families, overseeing both youth and community group ministries. Nathan loves laughing, traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants, reading, theology, music, concerts, cycling, and of course, Scrabble. Above all, Nathan loves Christ, his Savior, Shepherd, and Friend. His deepest hope is that the youth of Redeemer and their families would glorify and enjoy God in Christ through the Holy Spirit — and he counts it a privilege to walk alongside them in that pursuit.

Elana grew up in Georgia and Alabama and moved to Texas after marrying her husband, Nathan, in 2012. She and Nathan both attended the University of South Alabama (go Jags!), where she graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Art. 

After graduating, she worked as a graphic designer for 11 years while Nathan finished grad school and their family grew. Now, they have three wonderful kids and a scruffy little rescue terrier.

She loves art, crafts, reading, and singing, making children’s ministry the place to be! Being raised in the church and homeschooled along with her four siblings gave her a strong foundation in the gospel for which she is deeply grateful. She strives to support and encourage parents of Redeemer as they plant seeds of truth and disciple the youngest hearts of the body of Christ together!

Tim is from the great state of Oklahoma. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he completed his Bachelors in Music Performance in trombone. He then moved to New York City to attend the Manhattan School of Music for his Masters in Music for bass trombone. While in New York City, he met his future wife April, who was working on her Masters in Music for piano. While living in NYC, Tim served as the worship music coordinator at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. He soon realized that he had a great desire to produce and foster beautiful music in the church. They moved to Texas in 2015 and quickly found Redeemer to be the church community they gravitated towards. They love being a part of the community at Redeemer and find it invaluable that their two girls, Lydia and Stella, are nurtured and cared for by the entire church community as if they were their own children.
